Welsh people with chips on their shoulders about the English
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) will not take action against chief executive Jonathan Ford for saying the next Wales manager could be "foreign", but "definitely not English".

The FAW had set up a three-person panel to investigate a BBC Sport Wales interview in which Ford said: "We have always favoured Welsh people because arguably the passion is there.

"Somebody said this earlier, Welsh most definitely, foreign possibly but definitely not English."

A statement from the FAW said they will not "take the matter any further" after Ford apologised for the remarks.

I cannot for a single second understand why anyone would try to be bothered by this.

Not that I give a fuck particularly! It amuses me how the Welsh and Scottish feel about us.

I prefer it this way, especially when it comes to sports.

Just like when Andy Murray said he wanted England to lose. No problem with that at all...he should feel that way.

Why the fuck would any Englishman want to manage Wales?

If there’s two things I can stand it’s racism & the Welsh.

We have a friend who went to Aberystwth University and shared a house with a bunch of fierce Welsh Nationalists at the time.

All the time she lived there, we used to send her regular postcards from abroad addressed to her with Aberystwyth spelt wrongly every time (a different wrong spelling each time), and finish off the address with.... Wales, England.

Drove all the housemates batshit apparently!

dealcanvey - possibly so that they can be in with a chance of winning something, .....unlike the England role

How to wind a Welshman up - Just claim rather loudly that Ryan Giggs made a massive mistake in choosing not to represent England.

Oooooooh let me think, that will really upset a Welshman. I mean look at the trophies Giggs would have won playing for England rather than Wales.

I'm not sure that winds them up at all Eddie, in fact we should be more gutted about that seeing as he might have helped us be a lot better during his career.

What was the thought process behind this thread, did you think everyone would be whooping and cheering in support of this load of old bollocks?

I worked for a year in Cardiff. I really couldn't give a hoot about Welsh nationalism, but two colleagues were ultra nationalist and were forever slagging off England. When I left, I put a leek and a carrot in one of their pigeon holes (the fellow had ginger hair) and a leak and packet of laxatives in the other fellow's.
